"The top male finisher in Frankfurt, Frederik Nagel, recorded an average speed of 38.4 kilometers an hour over the 103-kilometer, or 64-mile, course. That compares with 40.7 kilometers an hour for the winner of the pro event, Moreno Moser of the Liquigas-Cannondale team. The pros, it must be said, cycled almost twice the distance."
